The Kick-Back At The Hang-Out is a non-denominational church in the Greater Atlanta Area, striving to live out the Biblical command to love God, each other and our neighbors well. This means worshipping and following Jesus Christ not only through our words but also through the lives we lead.

Jesus is central to everything we do. We sing, pray, teach, train, and preach in His powerful name. Our past, present, and future are centered on Jesus Christ. Our purpose on this earth is to make much of Jesus Christ. “For by him, all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him, all things hold together.” Colossians 1:16-17

The primary goal of Kick-Back At The Hang-Out is to let GenerationFuture, Millennials, adults, and senior citizens know that they can have a SWAG (Saved With Amazing Grace) encounter with God which provides grace, mercy, and love.  We also want to continually speak to today’s GenerationFuture, Millennials, and adults to
inform them that God has given them a Proposal, Purpose, and Plan for life-based on performing a greater work than Jesus Christ by commanding the Holy Spirit to operate in His name
(John 14:12-14).
You can expect friendly and authentic people, engaging and relevant music and worship, compelling preaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to encounter God. You will be encouraged and maybe even challenged. Expect to hear about God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as we continue their legacy to be famous. Expect honesty. Expect exceptional love.
During our weekly 30-minute worship service, we will feature Christian Rap, Hip-Hop, Gospel, Techno, Praise and Worship Music, Traditional and Contemporary Songs, Dramas/Skits, Interactive Activities, At The Movies Engagement Experiences along with Gymnastics Cheerleading, Dancing, Fencing, Sports, Martial Arts, and Social Media Illustrations. We will always have an action-packed, interactive, and fresh new worship experience each week.

During our 30-minute church service, worship is essential to God’s plan of redemption and provides a strategic avenue for God’s entry into an alienated world. An illustration of this is found in the Lord’s Prayer, which begins with worship: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name.” Then, it extends the invitation “…Your kingdom come.  You will be done on earth as it is in heaven”.  Matthew 6:9, 10

When we pray in the manner that Jesus taught His disciples, we are first, with worship, reaching into the invisible realm and then, on the grounds of our worship, welcoming the entry of His divine authority, rulership, and power into this world. At Kick-Back At The Hang-Out, we believe that a natural reflection of our love for God is worship. And that worship should invade every aspect of our lives.

Why We Exist

We exist to call men and women to celebrate and be changed by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus and His Lordship over all of life - for the good of our city and the world. In the gospel, we meet a God who has acted decisively in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus to redeem and restore people to Himself. Jesus lives the life we could not live, dies the death that we deserve to die, and is raised from the dead and revealed to be the King of all creation. This was no arbitrary event in history; it is the decisive moment. The gospel tells the whole story of Biblical history and how God has acted decisively in the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus to redeem the world for His glory. Preaching the gospel means showing how Jesus is the fulfillment and goal of every biblical text.

Our church has a place for everyone from 0 to over 100 years old. Please come and visit us to experience God's love and His words from the bible,

Today’s youth and young adults are facing more mountainous obstacles now than ever before.

On September 28, 2011, Church Statistician George Barna pointed out that many parents and church leaders wonder how to most effectively cultivate durable faith in the lives of today’s youth and young adults. During a five-year project headed by Barna Group President David Kinnaman and his team explored the opportunities and challenges of faith development among teens and young adults within a rapidly shifting culture. The findings of their research are included in a new book by Kinnaman titled: "You Lost Me: Why Young Christians are Leaving Church and Rethinking Church."

The research project was comprised of eight national studies, including interviews with teenagers, young adults, parents, youth pastors, and senior pastors.

The study of young adults focused on those who were regular churchgoers in the Christian church during their teen years and explored their reasons for the disconnect from church life after age 15. Based on the study, no single reason dominated the break-up between church and youth. However, two of the biggest challenges that our youth face today involve bullying and peer pressure which have always been a harsh reality of growing up, but the growth in technology has provided more platforms for these beasts to thrive.

As a result, God has inspired, Jeffery D. Henderson, founder of Kick-Back At The Hang-Out and the strategic planning team that he put together to particularly reach out to youth and young adults.

It is imperative that today’s youth and young adults have a safe place to grow, learn, be empowered, and feel unconditional love and accepted. It is becoming more evident every day that due to the internet/technology, schools and homes are not that places of safe-haven.  However, Kick-Back At The Hang-Out will become an extension of the Christian faith-based community to be such an entity.

Based somewhat on a very similar model and ministry calledThe Basement in Alabama, The Cavein Maryland, My Passion Church in Minnesota, Victory World Church ATL in Georgia, North Point Community Church in Georgia, and other churches, Kick-Back At The Hang-Out will become the lighthouse for pre-teens, adolescents, young adults, and adults who are lost at sea and being tossed by waves of depression, self-hate, guilt, failure, drugs, and rejection. The number of lives that will be turned around by this outreach and ministry will impact 1,000’s of lives in the years to come.

Kick-Back At The Hang-Out is where the torches are lit.  We, as a ministry, are ready to light up the Greater Atlanta Region, Georgia, the nation, and globally.

Kick-Back At The Hang-Out is an evangelistic and focused-based ministry that partners with numerous churches and ministries to disciple new converts with the Word of God. We are a para-church organization that strongly believes in God’s purpose and plan of reaching the world through the local body of Jesus Christ.

We will be a non-profit 501 c 3 Organization that relies on God for resources that are needed to carry out the Great Commission. Our main mission is to know God, Christ, and the Holy Spirit to make them known to others.

Kick-Back At The  Hang-Out is a place whereby Youth (and their parents), Young Adults, and Adults can utilize their Empowerment to experience a modern-day church service that focuses on Salvation, Servanthood, and Spirituality.  The primary goal of Kick-Back At The Hang-Out is to let youth, young adults, and adults know that they can have a SWAG (Saved With Amazing Grace) encounter with God who provides grace, mercy, and love.

We also want to continually speak into today’s youth, young adults, and adults to inform them that God has given them a Proposal, Purpose, and Plan for life based on Jesus’ great commission to spread the Gospel and to do greater works than Him by commanding the Holy Spirit to operate in His name (John 14:12-14).

During our weekly 30-minute worship experience, we will feature Christian Rap, Hip-Hop, Techno, Dramas along with Gymnastics Cheerleading, Dancing, Fencing, Sports, Martial Arts, and Social Media Illustrations. We will always have an action-packed, interactive, and always fresh new worship experience each week.

Moreover, we plan to invite different pastors, youth pastors, youth choirs, performing arts ministries, and Christian groups each week from all over the Atlanta Regional Area, Georgia, the nation, and globally. Can you imagine, a youth, young adult, and adult movement that is based on at least 52 collaborative church alliance partnerships working together to impact the Salvation, Servanthood, and Spirituality of today’s youth (and their parents), young adults, and adults in one location?

We will also allow and encourage all individuals to be free to dance in the manner of King David in order to worship God in “spirit and truth" 2(Samuel 6:14) (cross-reference scriptures: Exodus 15:20, Psalm 149:3, Psalm 30:11, Psalm 149:3, Psalm 150:4,Ecclesiastes 3:4, Jeremiah 31:4, Jeremiah 31:13, and Luke 15:25).

Making God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

Moreover, our other goal is to seek and save those who are lost. We believe that to reach a radical generation and nation, we must take extreme measures and meet them where they already are. We will have a cutting-edge way of presenting the gospel that does not compromise the message of the gospel.

Kick-Back At The Hang-Out believes: The Bible to be the infallible Word of God. That it is the Holy and inspired Word and that it is of supreme and final authority, in one God; externally existing in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He led a sinless life, took on Himself all our sins, died and rose again, and is seated at the right hand of the Father as our mediator and advocate. That all men have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:22 - 24) and need to come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through His shed blood on the cross. In Holy Christian Living and that we must have concern for the hurts and social needs of our youth and fellow-person. We must dedicate ourselves to the services of our Lord and to His authority over our lives. That Christ rose from the dead and is coming soon (Matthew 28:1-60 (cross-references: Romans 4:24-25, Romans 6.9, Romans 10.9, and Acts 9:1-5). In using every modern means of media available to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world.

We believe in one triune God who has eternally existed in three persons; the Father, the Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Each member of the Godhead is co-equal in essence, power, and glory; and yet, is nevertheless distinct in person.

We believe God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise (Ephesians 4: 6, I Timothy 1: 17, Psalms 147: 4, Exodus 20: 2 - 3, Romans 11: 33, Genesis 17: 1, John 4: 24, Psalms 90: 2, and Psalms 139: 7 -10).

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven's glory and will return again someday to Earth to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords (Isaiah 9: 6, II Corinthians 5: 21,

Genesis 3: 15, Hebrews 10: 11 - 14, Isaiah 53: 5, John 1: 1 - 5, 14, Hebrews 4: 12, Galatians 3: 13, Colossians 1: 13 - 17, Hebrews 2: 17 - 18,

I Peter 3: 18, and Hebrew. 1: 2).

We believe the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is present in the world to make men aware of their need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. He provides the Christian with power for living, understanding of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives every believer a spiritual gift when they are saved. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily (John 14: 16 - 17, John 14: 26, John 15: 26 - 27, Romans 8: 16, Ephesians 1: 13-14, and Romans 8: 26 - 27).

There is one God, the creator of all things, who is infinitely perfect and eternally existent in three persons; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We believe the Holy Scriptures, which consists of the 66 books (the Old and New Testaments), to be the only verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the manuscripts, infallible, and God-breathed (II Peter 1: 20 - 21, II Timothy 3: 16 - 17, and Matthew. 5:1).

Inasmuch,  the Word is the divine and final authority for the Christian life.

We believe humans were created good and in the image of God, to be like Him in character and represent Him on Earth. Therefore humans are the apex of God's creation. Tragically, through Adam's sin, the entire race fell from this purpose, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. In this state, humans are totally unable to remedy their lost condition and destined for eternal punishment in Hell. This condition and destination can only be remedied through the atoning sacrifice of Jesus on the cross and personal faith in Him (Genesis 1: 26 - 30, Genesis 2: 5, 7, 18 - 22, Matthew 16: 26, Acts 17: 26 - 31, and Romans 1: 19 - 32).

We believe that salvation is the free gift of God brought to man by grace and received through personal faith in the Christ Jesus as Lord and Savior. This free gift is in no way the result of personal effort or of good works but, instead, displays the grace, love, and mercy of God. Once an individual expresses true personal faith in Jesus, they are adopted by God and are forever held by His persevering grace. Further, there is no salvation apart from personal faith in Jesus Christ as Lord. Biblically, salvation includes regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification.

Regeneration, or the new birth, is a work of God's grace whereby believers become new creatures in Christ Jesus. It is a change of heart brought about by the Holy Spirit through conviction of sin, to which the sinner responds in repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Repentance and faith are inseparable experiences of grace. Repentance is a genuine turning from sin toward God. Faith is the acceptance of Jesus Christ and commitment of the entire personality to Him as Lord and Savior.

Justification is the point at which God declares believers righteous based on the completed work of Christ on the cross.
Sanctification is the lifelong process, beginning with regeneration, by which God through the work of the Spirit moves believers toward moral and spiritual maturity.

Glorification is the culmination of salvation and is the final blessed and abiding state of the redeemed.

We believe baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer's death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. Being a church ordinance, it is a prerequisite to the privileges of church membership and to the Lord's Supper.
(Matthew 3: 13 - 17; Matthew 28: 19 - 20, Acts 2: 41 - 42, Acts 8:36 - 38, Romans 6: 3 - 5, Colossians 2: 12, and Mark 1:1 - 4 ).

We believe the Lord's Supper, one of the two ordinances of the church, is a symbolic act of obedience whereby members of the church, through partaking of the bread and the fruit of the vine, memorialize the death of the Redeemer and anticipate His second coming.  (Matthew 26: 17 - 30, I Corinthians 10: 16, 21, and I Corinthians 11: 23 - 34).

We believe the Church is both local and universal. The universal Church includes all of those in the world who confess Christ both past and present. The local Church is a local expression of the universal church and is comprised of regenerated believers who, in obedience to scripture, organize under biblically qualified leadership, come together regularly for preaching and worship, observe the ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper, are held accountable through discipleship, and go out into the world to fulfill the Great Commandment and the Great Commission as missionaries for the glory of God and the salvation of humanity.  (Ephesians 3: 21, Acts 2: 47, I Timothy 3:15; Matthew 16: 18, Colossians 1: 24, Ephesians 1: 22 - 23, Acts 16: 5, Acts 11: 22, Acts 8: 1).

We believe in the freedom of worship with every form of expression being done in decency and in order, not drawing attention to oneself. We define order in our services as following the anointing of the Holy Spirit through the pastoral leadership on the stage (1 Corinthians 14: 33, 40).

We believe in divine healing for the body. However, we encourage and do not condemn medical science (Acts 3: 2 - 12, Acts 5: 15, 16, and James 5: 14-15).

We believe and teach that Jesus Christ arose literally and bodily from the grave. We also believe and teach that this resurrection assures all believers the same physical resurrection when the Lord returns for the Saints at the time of the Rapture. There will also be a resurrection of the unsaved to stand in judgment before the Lord, known in the Scriptures as the Great White Throne Judgment.  (Matthew 28: 6 - 7, John 20: 27, I Corinthians 15: 1 - 11, 42 - 52, Hebrews 9: 27 - 28, I Thessalonians 4: 13 - 18, and Revelation 20: 11 - 15).

Every born again,spirit-filled believer should maintain a consistent prayer life by praying regularly with their understanding and in their heavenly language.

“Without faith, it is impossible to please God.” (Hebrews 11:6) The Word tells us that the “just [those who have been justified by the blood of Jesus] shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17) The redemptive work of Jesus not only provided salvation for the believer, but also healing and prosperity for our spiritual, soulish, and physical man. We are redeemed from the curse of the law – poverty, sickness, oppression, and any other thing that prevents us from fulfilling His plan. Our lives can be prosperous and healthy in every realm as we walk in the light of this redemption by faith in God’s Word

There will be a bodily resurrection of the dead — the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord and the unbeliever to judgment and eternal punishment. There will be a bodily resurrection of the dead — the believer to everlasting joy with the Lord and the unbeliever to judgment and eternal punishme
